What men and women want

Women need romance while men need intrigue- Sherry argov
A man is scientifically wired to spread his genes often and widely, thus they have a fear of committing to just one spouse. Men dread of monogamy as it implies being glued to one spouse forever. It’s no wonder a large percentage of married men cheat on their wives. Their definition of marriage is based on what services a woman can offer such as doing laundry, taking care of the kids. A woman’s physical appearance such as beauty and youth is always top in the list of why a man would marry her.

Men’s brains are wired to check the reliability and availability of a woman being reproductive and productive .They seek a woman who can sire healthy offspring and be able to continue their kin. That is the primary reason why a man will consider the curvy women as it is an indication of health and ability to be reproductive. Why do women get cosmetic surgery and do make up to be attractive? This is mostly to compete for attention and affection. A man might lie to a woman about her looks to increase his chances of getting laid.

Statistics show that 91% of women say would marry for love, regardless of culture or religion. She want to be shown appreciation for literally everything she does. A simple ‘thank you’ gives a sense of being appreciated. It is with this that women measure the ability of man sharing his resources with her and their children. Women put so much importance in actual words of appreciation that they translate it as being loved. For a woman, a simple flower from the garden would mean much as an expensive car.

Women also want commitment and fidelity. These are among signs of loving her truly and eternally as she believes. These values when exhibited by their men shows that he is ready to love her and share whatever he has with her and not someone out of wedlock. Women are hardwired to search for men who will stay with them and provide for their children and protect the family. However, women often believe when a man claims he’ll marry her and have children with her. This might not always be sincere as men will do anything to get lad and other services that she can offer.
Men wants services, women want affection!!!!

The perfect Relationship Partner?

Isn’t it really sad when we have to hear of either a couple or lovers who kill each other in the news? Domestic violence has become the order of the day with relationship wrangles taking the center stage. It is pretty obvious there’s no perfect way of knowing who will suit you best. However, there are things that are crucial for consideration.

First and foremost, don’t choose needy people and never stop living your life just because of a relationship. Going ahead to be in a relationship with someone who says they can’t live without you is certainly a red light – danger ahead. This means they want you for what they think you can do to help or change them or you might be a rebound. Getting married to a drunk when you don’t drink does not work magic on them to stop.

Secondly, never choose a partner u think you can change “ I heard of his bad history with other girls but I can change him, he’s different with me.” Many women believe in a magical power of love that will create a new human being. They will most likely go back to his bad habits after all the early stages of romance are gone. Isn’t it obvious that they create a good impression at the beginning? This makes you avoid having arguments and agreeing to everything your partner says. This may however lead to anger towards them and at last you end up fighting.

Thirdly, how he treats his friends, is he caring, loving? I’m sure he might have told you a lot of positive things but his actions speak louder. The way he treats his house help or a waiter in a restaurants should form an hypothesis if it’s bad, run! That’s how you’ll be treated when the relationship gets old. Most women will also go ahead to believe what his friends say” we haven’t seen him this in love/happy before” LIES!! Once you spend more time together you’ll know each other.

Lastly, know what you want. Our generation is brainwashed in whatever the modern fairy tales portray of perfect couples with happy endings. However, not everyone is going to be like Jay Z and Beyonce! There’s no such thing as a perfect couple but having chemistry and similar beliefs can lead to a successful relationship.

Why we should not fear

When I was young I used to cover myself totally during the night when I slept when my parents put the lights off , despite living at the very hot coastal areas. It was the fear of the unknown and imagination. I ignored the teaching of my religious teacher that there is 365 ‘ fear not’ in the Bible for each and every day.

Fear is unpleasant feeling triggered by the perception of danger by one’s mind. It is just a thought identified with our egoic mind when you either think of the past or future events, that’s why most people who have undergone certain traumas tend to have fear . It gets more powerful when we give it more attention and believe it , either believing that bad things may happen to us if we do certain things.

That is how our minds are programmed . Fear is sometimes protective ; for instance the fear of being burnt makes us not play with fire ,once you’re burnt when young you learn that fire is a no go zone. However our fears keep us hostage to suffering some things that are only in our thoughts. Fear of failure may keep you from trying something out, fear of getting into an accident may keep you from learning how to drive a car !! I know it’s funny how fear of getting burnt can also keep children from learning how to cook right? An entrepreneur may have fear of investing in certain places due to fear of making losses- may turn out to be true or false.

It makes us make choices which are either good or keeps us from better opportunities. We don’t ever relax in our lives because of it hence we miss out on experiencing joy that is available and happiness from within. We often forget that life is not a problem to be solved but rather an experience to enjoy and fear keeps us from totally having the experience .

Give different productive and positive things a shot without putting fear into the equation, you’ll reap more benefits and experience each and every moment full of joy. You can actually live a fear free life when you realize it’s the egoic mind’s way of causing you discontentment. Our minds are programmed to judge future events based on what we have experienced in the past ,which should not be always the case. It does us no good other than serving our ego.

Trust and having hope for the best or generally being optimistic is an antidote to fear in out daily lives. You’ll realise you’ve enjoyed each and every day of your life without fear.

With lots of love😚♥️

Corruption as a Menace

Misuse of public power by elected politicians and abuse of entrusted power for private gain has become rampant in the world with absolutely NO COUNTRY IS CORRUPTION Free. Sadly, Kenya has reported a tremendous increase in cases of corruption in the last 10 years with the director of public prosecutions trying his best to get the corrupt to face justice.

Corruption being a human act has moral ethical implications. This is due to lack of ethics in the society as our education system, moral preferences and the whole economic machinery stink and ooze with the stench of corruption. This ranging from bribery, nepotism, racism and worst and majorly embezzlement of funds. We are cultivating in corruption and expecting to reap equal distribution of public resources and development country wide.

Like wise words on deaf ear, we are electing and re-electing corrupt leaders despite the fact and being in the know that their sources of wealth is public theft. Their integrity is red, character tainted and with their priorities twisted and reduced to personal.

We have to know that change begins with me and you. We should ensure that ww elect responsible leaders who care about us and whose passion is to serve the citizens and not their personal gain. Leaders who respect us and are accountable for public funds.

Thus it will result to a political will, reformed institutions, cooperation and an increased level of transparency and scrutiny in the journey of cubing this menace.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
